The Icing On The Spill!

Yes, it has been about 30 days since the Deep Water Horizon Well, has been permanently capped.  Yes, it has been at least two or more weeks, since the five story, 150 ton blow-out preventor has been raised, to help determine the cause of the worst environmental disaster in American history. Yes, hearings have begun, but have you noticed, WE  AREN’T HEARING, much of the goings on?  The focus is NOW, on the mid-term elections.  I don’t know about YOU, but I think many people impacted by the BP spill, as well as the millions of unemployed workers in this county, are wondering WHO CAN WE TRUST?

From Bad To Worse!

As the damaged Deepwater Horizon well, continues to pump out endless barrels of oil per day, into the Gulf, all the major stakeholders are scrambling to find a way to contain the damage.  Just this week, the cap came off for more than nine hours, making an already BAD situation, even WORSE! Here We Go Again!

So, we have all Sprung forward, but WHY?  This chart shows where DST (Daylight Savings Time) is still in use and where it is not.   Blue is where it is currently observed, Orange, where it is no longer observed, and Red, where it has never been observed.

OK, so we get an extra hour of daylight when we “spring forward”, but we loose an hour of much needed sleep each March, daily.  Do we get to make-up, or get that Read the rest of this entry »
