Green Spaces To Be On HGTV!

Jun-21-2012 By Barbara Zak

Last year, I posted about Growing Spaces Growing Domes, a Colorado Company, that was awarded the designation of a company to watch.  Well, now you can watch them, on HGTV this Friday Night!  You don’t want to miss it.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SUBJECT: Geodesic Greenhouse Manufacturer to Appear on HGTV Backyard Makeover Show!   So Be Sure and

Tune in FRIDAY
June 22nd at 8pm E/P

PRESS RELEASE:

Growing Spaces, is proud to announce their upcoming appearance on an episode of the very popular show, My Yard Goes Disney. The series features families who win a surprise backyard makeover that is Disney themed. The show is in its second season on HGTV (Home and Garden Television). With around a million viewers in the first season, My Yard Goes Disney, has added additional episodes this year. The Epcot Inspired Backyard episode, will feature a 22’ diameter Growing Dome® greenhouse manufactured and constructed by Growing Spaces® LLC of Pagosa Springs, Colorado. It features a family from Orlando, Florida and will air on Friday, June 22nd at 8pm e/p on the HGTV cable station.

“Up to now, Florida was the only state in which we have not had a Growing Dome. This exciting opportunity for this family completes our desire to have a Growing Dome in every state across the USA. We are celebrating that more and more people want to grow their own fresh, organic food. We are thrilled to be at the forefront of education about healthy, green lifestyles,” says Udgar Parsons, co-owner and founder of Growing Spaces. Udgar Parsons, will be on the show with certified Growing Dome installer and founder of Global Children’s Gardens, Alan Werthan, to orchestrate the Growing Dome greenhouse.  Together they will build and share his vision of eco-friendliness.

The lucky family chosen to receive this makeover in Florida, specifically requested a Growing Dome, to represent Disney’s Epcot Center. “The owner’s choice to have this, is showing people’s trend toward being more self-sufficient and proactive about their nutrition,” says Udgar Parsons of Growing Spaces.

The family saw the greenhouse as an image of their love of science, and as a way to grow their own food. This family of five had unsuccessfully tried to grow food in their backyard before the makeover, and lost all of their crops to wildlife grazing. Concerns over food safety, and a desire to provide healthy food for their children led the parents to their dream of a Growing Dome. This dream comes true in the My Yard Goes Disney episode airing on HGTV on Friday, June 22nd at 8pm e/p.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Quaker Oats for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I just tried the Cinnamon Pecan Bread flavor this morning, of the NEW Quaker Soft Baked Bars.  If you haven’t tried them yet, you don’t know what you are missing. It’s ture, the NEW Quaker Soft Baked Bar, helps provide the FUEL you need with the FLAVOR you want! They are very good!

This new snack bar from Quaker is wholesome food, made with real fruits and nuts that you can eat on-the-go, or as a breakfast snack.  If you warm  them up in the microwave, you are in for a real bakery experience that is a very tasty surprise.  This great snack can get you through until your next meal and comes in two delicious flavors:
• Cinnamon Pecan Bread- the one I tried                                   QSBB Yum Image high res.jpg
• and Banana Nut Bread

These bars are great and guilt free, at only
• 140 calories each with
• 5g of Fiber
• 6g of Protein and an
• Excellent source of 5 B-Vitamins

Add a glass of milk and some fruit, and you’ve got a great start to the day. You’ve got  the fuel, fiber, and nutrition your body needs with convenience, if you are on the go. With two flavors that everyone loves, and the trusted Quaker name, there is no reason to skip breakfast, even if you have a hectic schedule.

I know I love cinnamon, so I really enjoy these bars with my coffee, or as an energetic morning snack treat.  I’m sure you will too, so hurry out and get some, and be sure and tell your friends about them.

My grandkids are always raiding my pantry, for whats good to eat when they come to visit. So, I plan on keeping a stock on hand.  I know my daughter’s would love having these on hand in their pantries, for those hectic times when breakfast is on the fly.  These Quaker Soft Baked Bars are good and healthy nutrition for those times, or anytime. For me, they will be a must on my grocery list, and a must to share with family and friends.
